Are you interested to learn more about Düsseldorf's countryside or the surrounding areas? We will do walking tours of approx. 2,5 to 3 hours plus visit of a café, restaurant, snack bar or brewery. And how about having a picpic in the summer season?
Participation fee EUR 2,- per person payable in cash at the beginning of the tour!
Important notes for walking tours:
1. You have to be at the meeting point on time! There is no possibility to consider latecomers!
2. Starting points and terminal points/final destinations are not always identical! (Important, if you decide to come by bicycle or car)
3. Please bring drink and food you need for the tour. There might be no shops on the way!
Angermund and Kaiserswerth are both Düsseldorf suburbs in the north of the city.
We will start with the amazing Heltorf Park in Angermund, still a hot tip among the many parks in Düsseldorf with extraordinary vegetation, a very old stock of trees, ponds etc. Entrance Fee EUR 2,50 per person. We will explore the park, try homemade cakes with a good cup of coffee in "Schloss-Stübchen" near the Heltorf Palace.
After that we will take the U79 to Kaiserswerth where we will see for example Kaiserswerth Market, the Old Toll House, the Imperial Palace etc. walk along the Rhine,
Travel: Ticket 1000 or Ticket 2000. You can take the U79 from Düsseldorf Hbf, Heinrich-Heine-Allee or Duisburg Hbf directly to Am Froschenteich. If you do not have a VRR season ticket please also see www.vrr.de ! For those of you who prefer to come by car or bicycle there are some parking spaces in front of the park entrance!
