UNECO World Heritage refers to both cultural and natural heritage sites registered on the World Heritage List. An international assessment committee appointed by the UNESCO Secretary General reviews the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage every two years with the mission of safeguarding and protecting such intangible heritage as language, culture, music, dance, games, myths, rituals, customs and handicrafts. A total of 15 examples of pure Korean intangible heritage are on the list.

There is National Opera House called '예술의 전당' in Korea. It is one of most famous places in Korea. And National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts located beside the Opera House. June 28, In the National Center we can watch 5 UNESCO Intangible heritages in Korea simultaneously :

• Jongmyo Jeryeak 종묘제례악

The ritual is practised once a year on the first Sunday in May and is organized by the descendants of the royal family. It offers a unique example of a Confucian ritual, which is no longer celebrated in China.

• Cheoyongmu 처용무

Based on the Korean legend of Cheoyong, a son of the dragon king Yongwang, who took human form and saved his human wife from the smallpox spirit through singing and dancing, the dance is performed by five men clad in white, blue, black, red and yellow to represent the four cardinal directions and the centre.

• Pansori epic chant 판소리

Pansori is a genre of musical storytelling performed by a vocalist and a drummer.This popular tradition, characterized by expressive singing, stylized speech, a repertory of narratives and gesture, embraces both elite and folk culture. During performances lasting up to eight hours, a male or female singer, accompanied by a single barrel drum, improvises on texts that combine rural and erudite literary expressions.

Gagok is a genre of traditional Korean vocal music sung by men and women to the accompaniment of a small orchestra, one of several forms of singing that together constitute jeongga, or ‘right song’.

• Ganggangsullae 강강술래

Ganggangsullae is a seasonal harvest and fertility ritual popular in the south-western part of the Republic of Korea, performed primarily on Korea’s Thanksgiving in the eighth lunar month. Under a bright full moon, dozens of young, unmarried village women gather in a circle, join hands and sing and dance all night under the direction of a lead singer.

The National Gugak Center (Formerly: National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts) is the governing body established to preserve and promote traditional Korean performing arts.
