Such an excellent hike with beautiful views from beginning to end. Thank you Leigh for organizing, the map reading lesson, and the first aid applied to my blistered feet. You're #1 in my book, I don't care WHAT Brian says LOL. Alas no points for wearing my CVT colors.

What an awesome day for a hike on the A.T.!! A little chilly at the beginning, but, just a great day to hike! (**But, thanks to the addition of my CVT sweatshirt, I stayed warm :) **) Great group of folks! Thanks Leigh for hosting, and, thank you George for leading us all from Short Pump to the trail!

Not feeling up to this hike since I can't seem to kick this cold that I have and wanted to back out in time for someone to hopefully take my spot. Sorry to miss it! :(

    Greetings Intrepid hikers.
The following link contains a map and driving instructions for your next exciting northbound AT trek.
In that I will be backpacking the day before (Reeds to Humpback), I will meet you at the Humpback rocks parking area at 930 in the morning (this is where we ended our last hike). From there we will hike together to Rockfish gap. George has graciously volunteered to be the host at the carpool location at Macy's in Short Pump. Please be on time so we have adequate time to complete the hike in daylight. A pit stop in Zion's crossroads is scheduled on the way.
The weather looks good but once again I recommend a hat, gloves and some form of raincoat/windbreaker along with the usual lunch, water and sunscreen. There is one stream crossing of consequence but it is quite easy.
