Macy and fellow dachshund lovers,
The pictures Macy shared are of Westland Giftware's "Hot Diggity Dogs." That company is actually headquartered in Union City, CA! But, sadly, there are few stores (if any) that carry them in the Bay Area or Monterey. I began my collection of Hot Diggity Dogs shortly after adopting my first Dachshund in 2008. Since then, my collection of Hot Diggity Dogs has also grown to 90, and my collection of rescue Dachshunds has grown to 5, two of which are disabled, 1 from IVDD. Of course, I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I own so many Hot Diggity Dogs, but like many of you, I'm crazy for dachshunds, and dachshund merchandise. Right now, I have my Holiday collection displayed (I know I'm crazy, but they're too cute!)
BTW, I want to THANK the all the people who posted about Doxie stuff this season. Although I don't drink myself, I picked up 3 bottles of Dachshund Riesling at Pier One, which became the talk of family and friends throughout the Holiday season!
There are several collectable web sites that sell Hot Diggity Dogs, in case anyone is interested: Gifts from a distance, Giftopolois, Amazon, ebay, and several other small stores. You can pay as little as $12 to $14 on sale, or as much as $50 to $100 for a discontinued model on ebay. (Santa Weiner, Deviled Doxie or Super Weiner, are all highly-collectable and with original packaging and tags they can fetch top dollar).
Here's one of my favorite stores - one of many who offers them
This site features the complete collection (current & discontinued doxies)
Marshall, JT, Sophia, Guster, Buddy, Dexter & Francine.
