The host, Nathaniel Aron, is a graduate of the UNT Media Arts program who has lead multiple productions within the DFA'S "Dallas Film Crew" and other organizations. Nathaniel is also currently an organizer of the DFA and has taken input from the experience of our own members. Topics include but are not limited to: Developmental processes Roles on Set Pre-production vocabulary Script breakdowns Storyboarding Shot List Call Sheet Art department vocabulary Camera exposure Lighting Composition Audio recording Post Production vocabulary Script Supervising At the end of the presentation, you will be invited to participate in our DFC "Flash Film" Kickoff. The Flash Film will be written by the team, and as a team, you will assign roles and plan to complete the film within six weeks! Those that are successful will be screened and promoted on our social media page. This is a great opportunity to put what you learned to the test!     Everyone is welcome script or no script. Actors, writers, and all filmmakers. Join us to a table read of your own scripts! Bring 10 Pages of any script in the hollywood standard format, short or feature and we will read, critique, and analyze our scripts through the "Brain Trust" method which is inspired from Pixar's technique of critiquing screenplays! Please bring 7-10 copies of your script! Printing front and back is fine to save paper. Please also upload it to a spot where you can share a link for those who can read from their electronic device. We will only read 10 pages, Dallas Filmmaker Alliance Members get their script read first, followed by the person next in line. We will have a sign in sheet. If we do not get to your script, do not worry, your place in line stays for our next Table Read. We will have coffee, cream, sugar, and cups.     Danny Aguilar produces various types of films, from narratives to documentaries. He started Carpe Diem Pictures which tackles stories with social relevance. In 2018, in Madrid, Spain, Mr. Aguilar transitioned from making short films into producing his first full length documentary film. Danny has produced various short films such as "The Jar", "The Rain Will Come" and "Camino Catharsis". He is currently executive producer for two feature films which he has secured distribution rights with "Global Genesis Group" In this event, Danny will discuss his experience with securing distribution, the American Film Market, and producing.   • Double Pitch 2! (Romance)

    Register to pitch HERE: https://forms.gle/dwQC2kSSAR399kao6 RSVP on eventbrite too! =Pitching Process= ***First Pitch Screenwriters will have 2 minutes to pitch one 5-7 page Romance script. After the pitches are over, we will share a private link to all the scripts pitched. The audience will be given 15 mins to read as many scripts as they can. The better the pitch, the more likely your script is the one being read! The audience will vote at the event. All teams will create a film out of the winning script the challenge is for them to make the best version out of the other teams Teams can sign up on this form early or can be made at the event via networking. A networking mixer will be held at a local bar afterwards to network some more. ***Second Pitch Screenwriters are also allowed and ecouraged to pitch another project of their choice. This can be any personal project that the screenwriters needs funding or production help on. This second pitch will not be part of the competition and is only to help the screenwriter promote their work. Open for everyone to attend, you may just hear a pitch you like! Winner of the #1 winning script will also win a free copy of Movie Magic Screenwriter 6! More prizes to be determined! =Submission Guidlines= 1. Complete a 5-7 page script in the "Hollywood Standard" format 2. Make it a Romance genre, but the goal is to keep the budget modest. 3. Complete the registration form above 4.
