Had a great time, got my arduino web server running. Thanks for the help. The description on the meeting probably needs to change, I was expect ion more of a class. But the informal exchange of knowledge and experience got the job done and was great. Thanks.

I won't be able to make it due to a conflict. Look forward to the next one.

Good Grief !!!! I wish someone would update the generic text for this group.. Dallas Makerspace is in Carrollton.
    See: http://dallasmakerspace.org/

    Carrollton, TX 75006

For Arduino parts, Microcenter has the Uno for $10.

Thanks for the heads up, I've changed it. I could have sworn I updated all of them when we moved.

Just double checking... this is at the Dallas location, not the Farmers Branch/Carrollton location?

The description for this event from the DMS event calendar:
Control your garage door or other device with your smart phone. We will be using an Arduino with an ethernet shield to control devices. We will put a web server on the Arduino and control it from a smart phone or other device with a web browser. we will discuss security. Bring your Arduino with ethernet shield, a laptop and an ethernet cable. Bring a smart phone, or tablet to connect to the wifi network and control your device. We will have LEDs and resistors to act as simple on/off devices. If you have relays for the Arduino, you can use that instead of simple LEDs.

I was thinking of getting with wifi or bluetooth versus ethernet shield from a portable standpoint.

Fry's should have you covered and call Tanner Electronics first to make sure they have it.

I will be there tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing all.
I am still crashing my ESP8266 and I keep reloading the firmware to get it working again.

Seriously though, what's on the agenda so I can come prepared with the right materials?

Sorry I missed the ESP8266 2nd class... had the flu. What's this class going to do? Doesn't matter... I'll be there anyways.
