This month we'll be hearing from one of the latest to join as a co-organizer of the user group, Michael Phillips as he talks about development tools and the importance of the constant evolution of using them:
In the real world, proficiency at a craft requires the right set of tools. The
tool belt of an electrician looks very different from that of a plumber or a
woodworker, for instance. Even programmers have tools. Some of our tools help us ship code, while some help us find bugs in our code.
Knowing which tools solve which problems can help save us time and effort, but it is often not enough just to know -- you also have keep your tools, and your understanding of the tools, sharp.
In this talk we'll discuss how curating a "tool belt" can help improve the
quality of our code, and how keeping our tools sharp benefits our
productivity as developers.
Come join us on Tuesday night at the Axxess Offices for an evening of learning and time with fellow developers! We'll meet at the usual time (7pm) and food and drinks are provided by our gracious hosts.
