I read Gabrielle Roth's "Sweat Your Prayers" years before I knew such classes existed, falling in love with her understanding of movement and dance. The natural progression from flowing to stillness is kind on the body and amazingly cleansing for the mind and spirit. I always leave class feeling more aware of the people and things around me; I am able to express my thoughts more clearly; and my body is thanking me for allowing it to move naturally rather than in some forced, repetitive manner.
I began dancing the 5Rhythms in April 2010 and now mark every class with exclamation points on my calendar. After Disney World, a 5Rhythms class is one of my favorite places to be!
What I cannot put into words, I dance.
I hope more people will migrate to the South Jersey class! It is difficult for me to get into the city, so I truly appreciate these South Jersey offerings.
