Manhattan Weekend Run

Who loves hills and bridges!? Or, who is willing to run uphill both ways in the snow for marathon training? Either way, come join us tomorrow for an 18.5 mile route. I promise it's downhill on the way back :-)

    At 155th street, follow pretty much the same route you took up to FINALLY go downhill! Enter the park at 110th and CPW and run south on West drive until you reach Time Warner Center. If you want to make the route exactly 20 miles, do an extra lower loop! Then it's treat time :-)

    **If University avenue is too crowded, feel free to just continue north along smaller side streets** until you reach W. Fordham road (mile 9.5). Turn left on West Fordham road and run over University Heights bridge to 207th and 10th avenue in Manhattan. Turn left and run straight down 10th avenue until you reach Harlem river drive entrance at 200th. Run along Harlem River drive until it ends at 155th.

    Route directions: Run up east side of the park, exit at 110th and CPW. Run up Morningside ave, hugging the park, until St. Nicholas ave (one block east) also hugging the park. At 145h street, turn until Edgecombe avenue and run to 155th. Follow Edgecombe alongside Highbridge Park to the entrance to the bridge at 172nd. Run over Highbridge into the Bronx! As soon as you get off the bridge, turn left and slight north and follow University avenue.
