Weekend runs are typically reserved for long runs often ranging from 12 to 20 miles, depending on the training plan. Every week features a different route, which will be posted a day or two prior. Runners are welcome to start earlier and/or cut out for their own needs. The route is provided to plan your exit or continuation strategies.

PACING BUCKETS
When RSVPing, we ask all of you to think about where you fall in the following buckets for your long run paces:
6C – 6:45 to 7:00
7A – 7:05 to 7:20
7B – 7:25 to 7:40
7C – 7:45 to 8:00
8A – 8:05 to 8:20
8B – 8:25 to 8:40
8C – 8:45 to 9:00
9A – 9:05 to 9:20
9B – 9:25 to 9:40
9C – 9:45 to 10:00
10A – 10:05 to 10:20
10B – 10:25 to 10:40
10C – 10:45 to 11:00

When splitting up for the pace groups, we’ll do it in big buckets of 6/7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00 pace, and from that point on, we will ask you to identify each other in the sub-buckets of A, B or C. When you bucket yourself for a run, please try to stay within that range for a good portion of the run and help each other during the run. If you are doing a progression, please announce that you are splitting off so others who weren’t expecting faster paces don’t follow.

Getting consistent pacing representation across a wide range is extremely difficult but it has to be a collective effort. Please RSVP to the meetups if you’re going to show up even if you are a regular. Please comment with expected distance and pace bucket!
