Introduce yourself

Hi everyone, I'm Brandon - an RRCA certified running coach. I'm a NYC native, and former sprinter turned middle-distance track runner. I focused on the 400m, 600m, and 800m through high school and didn't get into distance running post-college which really helped me overcome panic/anxiety and to remain grounded. My day job is running people analytics at a tech company. One of my favorite experiences has been helping mentor non-runners I've worked at my last 3 companies from couch to running their first races (5K to HM) which inspired me to get the RRCA certification. I just moved to LIC and am looking to train with a group, help get my feet wet in coaching, and just be around people who love running as much as I do.

What's your 5k, half marathon, or marathon race pace so we can plan pace groups at our runs?

6:30 - 5K 7:25 - HM 8:00 - M

On your training runs, how many miles do you run?

I'm just coming back from an ankle injury where I tore 2 ligaments and slowly increasing my mileage. Short runs: 3-5 miles Medium runs: 5-8 miles Long runs: 10-14 miles

Where do you do most of your training?

Now that I'm in LIC, Gantry State Park, and running to Central Park over the 59th St Bridge. Prior to was on the UES and did all of my runs on the FDR drive path, and Central Park.
