Bill Yeck Monday Evening Summertime Hike! SMITH HOUSE ENTRANCE

Finally! A little break from the heatwave! It's looking like the temperature and heat index will only be in the lower 80s when this hike starts. Even the humidity will be on the lower side than what we've seen over the past few weeks. Nevertheless, you'll still want to make sure you have some water. So PLEASE BRING WATER. There may be a creek crossing or two using mostly large rocks. I do have an alternate route in mind if the water level is high. You may also want trekking poles. The pace for this hike will be about 2.8 mph on somewhat hilly terrain in some places. This hike will be about 3 - 3.5 miles in length. You may want to bring a change of shoes for your drive home.
