This community is right for you!Throughout the spring and into the fall, we’ll be hosting a series of virtual meetups, events, and activities throughout the DMV area, all designed to get you CONNECTED and in COMMUNITY with people who understand you and can help you grow, share and learn.
We’ll NETWORK with other social actors, ambitious go-getters, and social impact experts who love SHARING and LEARNING best practices from different sectors and domains to create a sustainable social impact. We’ll meet people like yourself who manage the daily challenges of life and work while dreaming and chasing a new social impact paradigm.
In this community, we leverage the support of our respective talents and tools to balance while we are building. You’ll join a mission to ensure no one is left behind anywhere. You’ll meet others who do what we love and love what we do.
A community framing a new social impact paradigm!
This unique community believes in the interrelationships and inter-dependency of larger eco-systems. We are interested in actualizing SOCIAL iMPACT 4.0, reframing social impact conversations, and encouraging social actors to look at the "whole" ecosystem. We hope to exploit crosscutting opportunities beyond the narrow domain of practice. We want to challenge the current reductionist mindset and "stovepipe" or “silo” interventions.
Unfortunately, many social efforts fall short in the implementation phase. They are inclined towards an activity or project or program-driven social design and implementation approach. But this is not well suited for the reality in life’s complex scenarios. This, too, results in failure — fragmented, compartmentalized, and unilateral efforts — lacking a holistic vision for change.
We are success-driven professionals who also work, own consulting practices, established nonprofit, want to own a social enterprise, or manifest a bigger passion in life, saving lives and changing lives for the better. We are GLOBAL Social Actors.
Our path differs from that of peers and friends who prefer business-as-usual, love stability, and hate trying new directions. In our world, every concept or practice is challengeable or subject to change or improvement. Our goals and priorities are social goods! Our mission is to build a planet in which anyone can prosper without jeopardizing the environment.
