After Work Heritage Trail Hike

Hi All,

Following on the Southwest Heritage Trail after work hike, which turned out well, I thought we could try another one in Adams Morgan.

"Roads to Diversity" - the Adams Morgan Heritage Trail - has 18 stops and is estimated to take 2 hours to cover.  That's too long.  So we'll focus on the stops closest to 18th Street, and leave the stops along 16th Street for another night.

Our meeting place to start will be on the northeast corner of Connecticut and Florida Avenues.  Nearest Metro stop is Dupont Circle a couple of blocks south on Connecticut.  We'll walk up 19th St and Columbia Roads to the top of the hill around Lanier Place, then come back down 18th St.

Karen made the suggestion that we could make up a list trivia questions either for a quiz afterward, or as a scavenger hunt.  So there will be an optional trivia quiz afterward at Rosemary and Thyme, a nice local business on the corner of 18th & S.

A lovely evening - great walk and a pleasant dinner and visit afterwards....and trivia questions! Thanks, John.

80 minute walk, and a nice reprise at the sidewalk cafe afterward.

Where can I park my car?

I live near there and ask myself the same question. I drive around until I find a spot. I think west of Connecticut and Florida might be better because the parking restrictions for the embassies will open up after 6:30

Sorry 7pm is too late to hand around work and wait or go home and come back to work location for 7pm

Two hours starting at 7pm may be too long. (Some, like me, have to walk back to their cars and drive home.) I may bail out before the sweet end.

I agree. Can we start any earlier? And some food together would be nice.

Yes 2 hours is too long, that's why we won't try to follow the entire trail. I'm starting at 7 because I have a softball game at 5:30. There is optional food and drink after at Rosemary and Thyme.
