The requirement is for the development of a new application that has immediate commercial viability. This opportunity has all the positive elements of a start-up combined with the stability, security and resources of an established company.

This will be YOUR project.

You will lead the development of a new product from inception through production using Ruby-on-Rails and Agile methodologies. You will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and quality of innovative solution that meets requirements and generates value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and vision in the application's design and development
Initiate recommendations and critical assessments of tools, techniques and resources
Produce quality code using Ruby-on-Rails and Agile methodologies
Devise and implement process improvements in all areas
Manage development and production environments
Provide timely functional releases so as to meet fast changing business requirements
Train and mentor other developers as needed

In-depth technical and administrative understanding of the following is required

Mastery of all things Ruby
Familiarity with an Agile/test-driven development environment
Knowledge of design patterns
