If you are without a car or work near dc the weekday games on the mall are the perfect choice. Get off at federal triangle and walk towards the sun (southwest) 2-3 blocks. Romeo (guy often in "Ronaldinho" jersey) does a good job co-organizing most of those games, but, thanks to Bruno, the wednesday game is more likely to have pugg goals (which to me is a plus). Group is very upbeat, supportive, and friendly players. Many of the wednesday players speak spanish. That's actually good, because it means real soccer, real tricks, cool just to watch. (Romeo does Rabona kicks subconsciously.) If you want to try a soft foam ball and like corner kicks, throw ins, refs, etc., there is also that option in maryland. IMO if you have a car the weekend games are better because parking is better and the metro is getting expensive with all their rate increases over the past years. The MD game might be better for some who are also northish of DC. No league games here, but see discussion area.
