• What we'll do
Consider this the welcome wagon for locals and out-of-towners alike who are coming round for Bsides Vancouver 2018! DCTRL Community Commons sits in a pretty convenient location for new arrivals to the city-- just grab the skytrain downtown from the airport, hop off at the terminus station at Waterfront, and navigate over to our basement at 436 West Pender.
We'll have some coffee and snacks, wifi and charging stations, and a couple of commons members will be on hand to answer any questions we can ranging from getting around Vancouver (warning: no Uber here!) to intro level cryptocurrency, blockchain, Linux and other nerdy tech stuff. We'll also let y'all know about good places to grab a drink or dinner nearby, and likely organize a group to get something to eat at 6pm. Please reach out with any questions.
This is open to the public, and we encourage locals to come hang out, rock a beer or coffee, and help us entertain our visitors!
