Hallo zusammen!

The U.S. Consul for Political and Economic Affairs, Michael Gray, cordially invites you to an event about:

“HAMBURG VALLEY or SILICON HARBOR? #2"

at
The U.S. Consulate General Hamburg
Alsterufer 27/28
20354 Hamburg
starting at 6:30pm

The evening will start with two presentations:

1.) Andre Marquis, Executive Director at Innovation Acceleration Group @ UC Berkeley and Executive Director @ Lester Center for Entrepreneurship @ Haas School of Business, Berkeley
Topic: What is happening in Silicon Valley and the global startup and venture capital scene?

Andre Marquis is currently the Executive Director of the Lester Center for Entrepreneurship at the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley as well as Executive Director of the Innovation Acceleration Group at UC Berkeley's Center for Executive Education. At UC Berkeley, he and his team built a scalable, global infrastructure to deliver leading-edge, hands-on training to hundreds of teams and thousands of entrepreneurs and corporate innovators and their Faculty and mentors. These world-class programs including America's Greatest Makers, the Bay Area NSF Innovation Corps, Innovate for Digital India, $1.3m Make It Wearable Challenge (driving corporate innovation on Intel’s computing platforms in 27 countries), Innovate for Digital India, LAUNCH Startup Accelerator, Global Social Venture Competition as well as other Bay Area and international programs in dozens of countries. Outside of UC Berkeley, Andre has a long record of starting successful biotechnology and IT ventures with a particular focus on winning in markets where scalability is critical. Two Web companies he helped start became publicly traded and a third was acquired by amazon for over $190 million. The Chorus Group at Eli Lilly, which he co-founded, is a significant lean business model innovation that has dramatically speeded up and lowered the cost of drug development. Drawing on this industry and innovation expertise, Andre and his team are redefining how to teach the process of evidence-based entrepreneurship and corporate innovation while creating scalable enterprises and driving deep culture change simultaneously.

2.) Mark Searle, Managing Director at Innovation Acceleration Group @ UC Berkeley and Senior Fellow for Global Programs @ Lester Center for Entrepreneurship at Haas School of Business, Berkeley
Topic: Key success indicators for regions seeking to build a “startup ecosystem”

ATTENTION: All guests must be registered and must bring an official photo ID for the security check in order to access the consulate/attend the event!

Euer 12min.me-Team
