the yearly re:Invent conference kept us busy, but now it is time to plan for the AWS user group in Heidelberg! As promised early next year we will kick-off the first AWS meetup in Heidelberg. Date will be Thursday, Jan-24th, 2019. We start at 18.00h.
1. Welcome and Networking with Drinks and Food (30 mins)
2. AWS News with a Focus on ML and HPC (Frank Munz, AWS, 45 min)
3. AWS Security 101 (Andreas Mohrhard, 45 min)
4. Kafka on AWS (Frank Munz, 30 min)
Please spread the word about this event, tell your friends, invite and bring interested colleagues.
This event is free of charge. You don't have to bring anything, except a good mood and curiosity about AWS technology. We care about tech, we want no sales pitches. Everyone & every opinion is welcome. We encourage diversity and like to invite first time speakers. The AWS meetup is a community event that is kickstarted by myself, but driven by the community.
Andreas will organise the event and we look for additional organisers to make this an ongoing success. We also look for speakers for the following event.
Are you new with AWS and interested in the AWS global infrastructure? Here is a talk Peter deSantis gave at re:Invent 2018 in Las Vegas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDNHK-SzXEM
see you in January,
