_ Session 1: MATLAB & Simulink as Development, Simulation and Integration Platform for Your ADAS Functions

Abstract
Developing ADAS & AD Functions is challenging the automotive industry to work together across domains. Subsystems which were considered as independent in the past, now need to closely interact with each other. As we have more and more software controlling traditional mechanical systems, there is a greater need for supporting engineers to integrate their cross-domain work easily and seamlessly.
In this session you will receive an overview on how MATLAB and Simulink are being used as integrated development environment for Perception, Sensor Fusion, Control Systems Design and Vehicle Dynamics.

This talk covers an overview of:
o Perception algorithm design
o Sensor fusion design and verification
o Control algorithm design
o Training, Inferencing and Deploying a Deep Learning Algorithm

_ Session 2: GENESIS - New platform for assessment and certification of AI for autonomous driving

Abstract
Genesis is an open, non-proprietary collaboration platform to address the challenges of validation and verification of AI modules in autonomous vehicles. The "brain" of the car (the AI modules) will be tested, so that consumers can be certain that the products supplied by the industry are safe and suitable for road traffic. On the way to a final solution, a number of technical challenges still have to be mastered, which will be addressed by the Genesis Project - founded by DFKI and TÜV SÜD. It will be accessible to other partners who wish to participate in this innovation topic. The Genesis consortium is also involved in the newly established AI standardization committees of DIN and ISO.
