She teaches economics and entrepreneurship for video games at the Cologne Game Lab, TH Köln, Technical University of Applied Sciences. She is also co-founder of the Acceleration Program SpielFabrique 360° and works as a Strategic Consultant for games and serious game projects. Between 2007 and 2014, she was the managing director at the German entertainment software studio Blue Byte. BOARD GAME JAM Game jams are a fun way to get the creative juices flowing and try out something new and unexpected. In this jam we will go „unplugged" and focus on board and card games. When you realize that all this computer power really is at your fingertips and obeys your commands... don’t be a muggle and learn to code!" - Alex Pieper The coding workshop aims at people who do not know coding or very little but are interested in the topic. If you're already an experienced coder feel free to join as well and support us! There are two parts to this event: - Quick introduction round - Oliver Eberlei (Hammer Labs & Holocafe) will hold a three hour coding for non-coders workshop in which everyone can participate. All you need to do is bring your laptop. We will learn to develop a doodle jump inspired game in Unity (C#). The #FemDevsMeetup is a free event.     REGISTRATION PERIOD ENDS ON FEBRUARY 17th 2018! We need you to make the first Female Devs Game Jam an epic experience, join us this February! Together we will empower women to participate fully in the game industry across all sectors by making games for 30 hours. When: The Game Jam will kick off on February 24th at 10:00 am. Theme: The theme will be announced at the start of the event. Schedule: Saturday 10:00 Introduction, Team Building & Breakfast 11:00 Presentation of Game Ideas 12:00 Team Forming 13:00-14:00 Lunch Sunday 10:00 Breakfast 13:00-14:00 Lunch 15:00 Presentation of Final Games 18:00 End What to bring? Pack your sleeping bag, laptop and tools. Important to know: You are responsible for securing any equipment you bring. We will provide breakfast and lunch. We welcome talent from all areas if you want to experience what game development is all about, join us! If you do not identify as female you're also welcome to register and it would be awesome if you could bring a female friend! We will take pictures during the event, by attending you agree to them being used for future promotions.

There are three parts to this event: - Quick introduction round - Talks: This time the meetup will be all about founding a studio and the experiences made while running it. The first talk will be held by the heart and soul of Weltenweber (http://www.weltenweber.com/); Beate Sucrow and Dominica Wester. The studio is focusing on everything VR and was founded in May 2017.
