We are happy to present the first Health Hackers Kaggle Challenge!
Malaria is a serious disease that has cost countless lives and is particularly devastating in several countries in Africa. Often, the expertise and lab equipment to diagnose the disease is the critical missing factor.
One part of the diagnostic process is looking at blood samples to check for the parasite infection. The given dataset is a great opportunity to throw our machine learning skills at. We are curios to see how good the created classifer can get at this task in one month time only. For this you can either work alone on this challenge or surround yourself with a great team.
Prize: The winner of the competition will receive a winner certificate from the Health Hackers e.V. and a small prize. Also, there will be beer and food!
To get everything started, we want to host a great kickoff. This will be featuring an introduction to the topic by an expert (TBA) on the topic, a brief introduction to working on Kaggle and with Kaggle Kernels and the opportunity to start coding and find a team!
