Webinar Ebenbuild - Precision therapy based on personalized digital twins

Our lungs are beautiful, complex high-performance organs. Although lungs are surprisingly robust, there are many threats and challenging medical conditions. Sometimes, they are in need of smart solutions tackling lethal diseases and complications, e.g., the acute respiratory distress syndrome. Due to various causes like trauma or virus infections (Corona!), a patient’s lung may effectively stop working. Afflicted patients need immediate intensive care and life-sustaining mechanical ventilation. However, the ventilation therapy used to oxygenate the body is a delicate act of balance because instead of keeping the patient alive and oxygenated, it can actually cause additional damage.
