Hello JAMstackticians. We have the update the that we've been promising - the talk titles and abstracts.

In the week leading up to FITC's Web Unleashed (Sept 12-14), we have confirmed the next JAMstack meetup. We have speakers coming from GitHub, Twilio and our gracious hosts: Loblaw Digital.

⚡️ Talk 1: Leveraging GitHub APIs by Jason Etcovitch

Learn how you can leverage GitHub and it's extensive APIs to have a database, a CMS, and anything else you can think of! We'll also look at GitHub Actions to see where we can extend GitHub's API to do even more interesting things.

⚡️ Talk 2: Function-Driven Development by Stefan Judis

With the rise of the JAMstack, the evolvement of hundreds of APIs and new hosting services tailored for Frontend engineers, the way we build websites changed. Instead of building everything from scratch, it's now possible to connect all the pieces, use all the services out there, and focus on the things that matter – building excellent products and UIs. But how do you connect all the pieces? Let's have a look at the missing glue that changed everything for Frontend engineers!

⚡️ Talk 3: Solving Enterprise Scale Problems with JAMStack by Loblaw Digital Team - @LoblawDigital

How JAMStack enables Loblaw Digital to rapidly scale new projects

Adam Winick (Senior Developer)
Caterina van Herpt (Front End Developer)
Matt Dent (Front End Developer)

⚡️Lightning Talk ⚡️: Authentication in Any React App in Three Steps by Matan Kushner

Jason Etcovitch
Lead Software Engineer, GitHub

Jason Etcovitch leads the engineering team for GitHub Learning Lab, building tools and curriculum to help people learn together. He dabbles in open source projects, mostly in the JavaScript ecosystem - experimenting with libraries, tooling and ways to make building stuff easier.

Stefan Judis
Developer Relations, Twilio

Stefan started programming 8 years ago and quickly fell in love with web performance, new technologies, and accessibility. He is also a curator of the web performance online resource Perf Tooling, organizer of the Accessibility Club Conference, contributes to a variety of open source projects and enjoys sharing nerdy discoveries.

Matan Kushner
Software Engineer, Auth0

Matan is a developer and open source enthusiast, passionate about making development easy and accessible. When he's not developing internal tools and test strategy at Auth0, he's working on open source JavaScript and Rust libraries and tools. Matan is on the development team of http://AniList.co – an English-speaking social media site for anime and manga, and is a mentor at the Montreal meetups for freeCodeCamp and NodeSchool.
