Our route will take us through some of the Cotswolds’ best scenery along rolling hills (the 'wolds'), woodlands and dramatic escarpments with stunning panoramic views. The whole walk is within the protected Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the largest of the 38 AONBs in England and Wales. Enjoy a visit to a well-known food heaven, the Broadway Deli, on the High Street, with its wide range of fresh and organic local produce. • Pass the outstandingly beautiful, unspoilt Cotswold villages of Stanton, Stanway and Snowshill. • Climb Dover's Hill (230m), with its glorious views over the surrounding countryside. After climbing the much-loved hill, standing at 517 metres, the route will take us along the Great Ridge, past the summits of Hollins Cross, Back Tor and Lose Hill, where we'll have stunning views over Edale, Hope Valley and even the edge of Kinder Scout. The highlights of the walk include the picturesque villages of Castleton and Hope, atmospheric Norman ruins of Peveril Castle, built in 1086, and the scenic Cave Dale valley. After the hike we're going to enjoy a delicious two-course dinner and a relaxing evening at our hostel, surrounded by fabulous scenery. Sunday - Kinder Scout from Edale: On Sunday, we'll take on another Peak District classic. On this very rewarding hike, we'll climb to the highest point in the Peak District, Kinder Scout (636m), boasting unforgettable views, unique moorland and the glorious Kinder Downfall, the tallest waterfall in the National Park. Kinder Scout was also the site of a hugely significant event in 1932, the Kinder Mass Trespass - an event, that has opened up for us the gates of the countryside, which was then largely privately owned, and led to the formation of Britain's National Parks. Our hike will finish at an atmospheric 16th-century pub, which has a log fire, where we'll relax and enjoy a tasty post-hike meal before our departure to London.     The Brecon Beacons is one of 15 national parks in the UK. Located in South Wales, the national park covers a vast area of more than 1,300km² and is home to some of the most spectacular scenery. The route is very exposed, wild and rugged, with steep escarpments. The views on a clear sunny day are simply fantastic, stretching all the way to South and West Wales and to the Bristol Channel! After reaching the summit, the path will descend sharply to the glacial lake of Llyn y Fan Fawr, which translates from the Welsh as ‘lake of the big peak’. It lies beneath Fan Brycheiniog and is one of the largest lakes in South Wales. After the hike we're going to enjoy a delicious two-course dinner and a relaxing evening at our hostel, in a wonderfully remote mountain setting. On Sunday, we'll do another Brecon Beacons classic and ascend to the beautiful summit of Cribyn (795m), which sits just 91m below the tallest peak in southern Britain, Pen y Fan. Starting at the pretty village of Llanfrynach, we'll approach the peak from the north, via the Bryn Teg ridge, avoiding the crowds on the popular southern tracks. The views are superb and, on a clear day, you can gaze across the Bristol Channel to Exmoor and Devon's rugged north coast! After the hike, we'll have very well-deserved drinks and lunch in the nearby Pencelli village before our departure back to London.
