The TRIP IS FULL, but there is a good CHANCE to JOIN US! Please come to the meeting point at 8:45 AM. If somebody does not show up (typically 2-3 people), pay just £30 for HIKING or £70 for KAYAKING and have a great day with us!

Join us for a very special trip as we head to Dorset to discover the dramatic and famous Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage coastline! Stretching 95 miles between Old Harry Rocks and Orcombe Point, the Jurassic Coast - England’s first Natural UNESCO World Heritage Site - is the most geologically diverse coastline in the world. The exposed cliff sections allow us to look back across 185 million years; dinosaur remains have been found here and it’s a fossil-hunter’s paradise.

On this trip, you can choose to explore the historic coastline in one of two ways: you can go HIKING 🏃🏼or you can join the KAYAKING tour 🛶!

This magnificent coastal hike is truly one of the highlights of the Jurassic Coast and one of our favourites! Starting from the beautiful beach of Kimmeridge Bay, the path will take us to the iconic natural limestone arch of Durdle Door and the famous scallop-shaped bay of Lulworth Cove with its white pebble beach and crystal clear waters. On our way, we will pass the hidden gems of Mupe and Worbarrow Bays, the Fossil Forest, containing the most complete fossil record of a Jurassic Forest in the world, and the extraordinary small cove and geologist’s delight, Stair Hole. Most of the route follows the cliff-top trail, with stunning panoramic views of sweeping bays, folded cliffs and the sea. This is a strenuous hike, with 700 metres of ascent and three stiff climbs, but all of your efforts will be well rewarded by the jaw-dropping beauty around you 🤩!

At the end of the hike, we're going to enjoy well-deserved drinks and refreshments at one of the many pubs, cafés, bistros and restaurants at Lulworth Cove before our departure back to London.

To make the hike more enjoyable and fun, we're going to have no more than 15 participants - a truly personal touch and fantastic small group experience 👍!

Distance: 10 miles (16 km).
Ascent: 700 metres.
Difficulty: MODERATE.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see Dorset's beautiful Jurassic Coastline from the water? See this amazing coastline from a completely different perspective! Under the supervision of local qualified kayaking instructors, we will marvel at amazing rock strata, formations and fossils, and enter secret caves and arches along the way, that are only accessible from the sea. The highlight of the tour is paddling through the famous natural arch of Durdle Door - a must do photo opportunity!

On the day, you will be provided with a wetsuit, a helmet, buoyancy aid, neoprene socks and gloves. Please bring your swimwear (to wear under a wetsuit) and a towel.

You MUST be able to swim to undertake this activity. Weight in excess of 16 stone (100 kg) needs to be brought to our attention.
