Who: Cyril Cassagnes - Technical Lead Infrachain
Before embracing the role of Technical Lead at Infrachain in 2018, Cyril spent more than 7 years working in research and development projects at several academic institutions.
In 2008, Cyril received a master degree in computer science from the University of Bordeaux in France. After his Master degree, he worked one year as software engineer within the laboratory of the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour in France. Then, in 2012, he got a PhD in computer science from the University of Bordeaux where he developed his knowledge on distributed systems, his main area of expertise. One goal of his thesis was to deal with the efficiency factors for scalability analysis of a typical peer-to-peer system designed to support live streaming at large-scale. More generally, another objective was to find an efficient way to forward and manage information between elements of a distributed system deployed over the Internet (e.g. DHT).
Cyril move to the private sector in 2015 and he is today working at Proximus Luxembourg.
