For the purpose of dismantling this issue, CODE asks what society could gain from having more women and people of color code, and how we could get there.
CODE documentary exposes the dearth of female and minority software engineers and explores the reasons for this gender gap and the digital divide. The film highlights breakthrough efforts that are producing more diverse programmers and shows how this critical gap can be closed.
Join us for the evening before to discover how the tech industry could progress the fastest if we can see the problem and how it could be debugged. The screening will subsequently be accompanied by a conversation.
We would really like to highlight that this is not an event solely for women. For us, it is very valuable to have different perspectives and therefore, we would really like to have different genders represented.
