    На 27 май 2018 година са навършват 15 години от основаването на WordPress! В неделя, 27 май, планираме глобално събитие, на което да отпразнуваме 15-тата годишнина на WordPress с общности на WordPress и meetup групи в целия свят. Вие също сте поканени!     University of Economics

    It's about time for the next WordPress meetup in Varna! It will take place at 19:30 (7:30 PM) on 25 May 2018 in the University of Economics, Varna, floor 2, hall 220. This time we'll welcome Aleksandar Atanasov, project manager at 2create Studio. He will talk about why it is important to provide feedback, and why we shouldn't be afraid to give and receive it. He'll showcase the different types of feedback and their specifics, and will provide real-life examples, drawing from his personal experience as a project manager. Aleksandar has been working in 2create studio for 7 years. 2 of them he has spent a WordPress developer, and the rest - as a project manager. He's currently leading a team of 9 developers that work on crafting WordPress projects every day. As you can imagine, giving and receiving feedback is essential in his work, and out of his large experience he surely has a lot of things to tell us. Willing to speak at the next event?     University of Economics

    It's time for the next WordPress meetup in Varna! It will take place at 19:30 (7:30 PM) on 30 March 2018 in the University of Economics, Varna, floor 2, hall 220. This time we'll have the two speakers - Koji and Nikola. They will talk about Gutenberg and will help us prepare for the upcoming WordPress 5.0. Whether you use WordPress for your personal or professional website or make websites for other people, WordPress 5.0 and Gutenberg will change the way you interact with WordPress. To get ready for the updates, we invite you to attend our workshop to introduce you to the coming changes. Koji will start with a short presentation in English, in which you will learn the basics of Gutenberg from the perspective of content creation and management. This part of the workshop is appropriate for users of all levels. After, Nikola will lead a workshop in Bulgarian for programmers who want to learn how to program for Gutenberg. Those who are not interested in the more in-depth study are welcome to leave early for the restaurant to discuss Gutenberg further. Those who stay for Nikola’s workshop will explore blocks, the basic component of Gutenberg: - How blocks are created - What are block attributes? - What is the difference between static and dynamic blocks? If you're interested in taking active participation in the workshop, please bring your laptop. You'll need the following: - A WordPress installation setup locally - Gutenberg plugin installed - Installed npm - Installed https://github.com/ahmadawais/create-guten-block - important - follow the instructions in the Getting Started section to create a start block plugin with a Gutenberg block. Our wonderful speakers have given talks on previous meetups, but we will take a moment and introduce them shortly. Koji is a Gutenberg enthusiast. Drawn in by the romance of the name, she found Gutenberg to truly give general users more control over their content. She currently uses Gutenberg on three websites she manages and discovers new aspects of it daily. Nikola is the lead developer and owner of Paiyak Development. He runs Tour de Core, an educational livestream exploring WordPress core, with the first several streams dedicated to working with Gutenberg.   • Varna WordPress Translation Day 3

    University of Economics

    Global WordPress Translation Day 3 will happen on 30 September, 2017. Translation day is organized by the official WordPress polyglots worldwide team and is dedicated to translating and localizing the WordPress core, plugins and themes. The bulgarian WordPress translation team has the honor and privilege to invite you to participate in this initiative, and for a day to help WordPress get closer to Bulgarian users, who are not fluent in English. For those who have never translated, experienced translators (AKA polyglots) will be able to help and we'll provide initial instructions and guidelines on how to start. You only need your laptop to get involved, as well as some free time, but don't forget to bring over your enthusiasm. WordPress Translation Day 3 in Varna will take place in the University of Economics, Varna (77 Knyaz Boris I Blvd.), in hall 53 from 10 AM to 6 PM. Come and let's translate WordPress together!
