This group is for all those interested in or practicing Mindfulness. I am currently studying a 4 year Masters in Mindfulness and would love to share some of the techniques I have learnt with my local community. I will guide you through some exercises which use the breath to bring us into the present moment and together we will explore techniques of Mindful eating and Mindful walking and a more Mindful way of life. The sessions will be held at a cosy, vintage cafe in Westbourne and this beautiful space will be just for us. Space is limited so there will be a maximum of 6 people in each session. Yummy herbal teas will be served at the end of the practice.

Whether you are new to mindfulness, a little out of practice or even if you meditate daily this session is for you. We will spend an hour doing some of the core mindfulness practices as a group (e.g. Mindful standing, very gentle mindful movement and a longer sitting meditation). Then you are welcome to stay on half an hour to have a cup of delicious herbal tea and discuss the meditations or just have a chat. This space is open to all, don't be shy if it is your first time it is a safe and welcoming space (we use the back of this lovely cafe which will be closed for our group). Wear something comfy and come and be present with your body and breath for a blissful hour and a half. The session costs 8 on the day . Limited to 9 people so please only sign up if you intend to come :)

Mindfulness Workshop: Autumn 'Warming and Energy Building'

This Mindfulness special workshop aims to warm up the body from the inside out and leave you with that inner glow you may have felt has been lacking as the days grow shorter. Leave feeling re-charged and ready for the week ahead. Come and nourish your body and mind with like-minded people. I will guide you through some warming and energy building mindful movement to help release the autumn lethargy and get the circulation and inner heat fired up in the body, being in the moment with some healing sounds. This sessions longer 40-minute deep Mindfulness relaxation, will scan through the body visualising the warming sun's energy warming up each part of the body in turn and letting go of stresses and strains of the week gone by. We will finish the session with a mini cup of spicy, heart-warming tea and a vegan sweet treat to float off back home to bed ready to wake-up energised for your week ahead. Mindfulness Retreat: Warming and energy building with Qigong

Welcome to this warming, Autumn retreat day of stillness connection and mindful movement. A chance to let go of your responsibilities and just BE you. This retreat aims to warm you up from the inside out and leave you feeling a sense of calm and an 'inner glow' which may not have been so present as the days become shorter. This is a chance to shift gear from the constant doing and striving and to ground in the present and connect with your inner self at the beautiful house and grounds of 'The Retreat' (the old East Close Hotel) This full day of Mindfulness and gentle QIgong will include ~ a grounding/ settling meditation ~ a gentle yet energy building Qigong, mindful movement practice. To get your circulation going and warm up the body. This session will be guided by Stuart Ward who has dedicated his life's work to mastering movement and the body. ~followed by a 45 minute deep, mindfulness body scan relaxation where you lie down and I will guide you through the body visualising each part being warmed by the sun's energy and letting go of the stresses and strains being held in the body . ~Mindful eating. I invite you to enjoy some healthy, homemade, warming soup with fresh sourdough bread in stillness. Nourishing and warming the body from the inside. ~Mindful walking with guidance indoors and freer mindful walking outdoors connecting to nature (weather permitting) or a further Qigong (seated tapping practice) with Stuart to deeply connect with and awaken the body ~ A closing sitting practice of loving kindness and gratitude. Sending the energy we have built in our day out to a loved one, a neutral person, to ourselves and to all living beings. ~ closing discussion and tips to bring mindfulness into daily life You will leave the day with warm hearts, happy tummies, chilled minds and energised bodies :) The day will be held in an essence of stillness with a quiet space available if you wish to use it but also opportunities to connect with others if that's what you wish for from your day This day is suitable for all.
