  • Vue Test Utils + Nexmo SDK + Swagger + TDD in Node

We are delighted to announce our next event where we will be having 3 guest speakers namely Edd Yerburgh and Alex Lakatos, and Dan Li. We will wrap up the evening with a discussion about Test Driven Development in Node and JS. Edd Yerburgh (https://github.com/eddyerburgh) is the main author of Vue Test Utils (https://github.com/vuejs/vue-test-utils) and Avoriaz. He works as a software engineer at the BBC. He is also the author of Testing Vue.js Applications (https://www.manning.com/books/testing-vuejs-applications). Edd will be giving us a detailed look at how to test Vue apps using Vue Test Utils. This will benefit those who are new to Vue and those who have experience developing in this exciting framework. Alex Lakatos (https://www.nexmo.com/blog/2017/06/05/minting-new-javascript-developer-advocate-alex-lakatos-dr/) works as a developer at Nexmo (https://www.nexmo.com/). He will be taking us through a few demos showing us how to use the Nexmo tools within a Node environment. This will provide you with a good idea on how to add VOIP and SMS integration to your system. Dan Li will be showing us how he uses Swagger to document, design, and test APIs. He will share his experience and give advice on how to use Swagger. We will close the event off with a discussion about Test Driven Development within Node and JavaScript. We will put forward a few discussion points and hear how (if at all) developers deal with these issues. This event is in collaboration with Node Workshops (https://www.meetup.com/NodeWorkshops/)
