Join us for a conversation with Berlin-based artists René Wirths and Wolfgang Flad as they discuss their exhibition CHRONOSTASIS. The talk will explore perception, material process, and the intersection of contemporary art with architecture and sustainability. Limited seating. RSVP required.
Galerie Sara Lily Perez is pleased to host an in-person artist talk with René Wirths and Wolfgang Flad in conjunction with their joint exhibition CHRONOSTASIS on view until 3 January, 2026.
The event offers a rare opportunity to hear both artists speak in detail about their studio methodologies, the role of attention in their practices, and how their work engages architectural space and sustainable material strategies.
René Wirths will share insights into his observational painting process and his long-term commitment to working from life without photographic aid. Wolfgang Flad will discuss his sculptural language built from reclaimed materials and the formal decisions that shape his interaction with volume and light.
The discussion will also explore how each artist’s work aligns with broader cultural and environmental questions, from slow perception to the ethics of materials, and how contemporary art can contribute to long-term architectural and cultural strategies.
