  • International Flutter Hackathon #Hack19

    Google offices @ Fairfax

Join us in a full day of hacking together using Flutter. Work with a team of 2 to 4 people, to build fun, unusual, interesting, or helpful projects which could go on to change the world! This is the perfect opportunity to work on all those great ideas you've been coming up with 😉 This hackathon is part of an international event organised by the Flutter community, so expect some fierce competition! To make voting easier we're providing a theme which we will share with everyone on the day of the event (so nobody gets a head start). We will also provide a list of suggested features and technologies to help guide development. Participants will still have lots of freedom and flexibility when building their project. To hit the ground running please install Flutter before that event. Find out how on https://flutterhackathon.com/#getting-started To foster collaboration and learning, we won't be allowing solo developers. We'll help you find a team! At the end of the day we will vote for the best project, The winning project is then submitted to the international vote. International votes are due by end of day Sunday, June 2 (UTC). The top 3 winners will be announced afterwards and will receive a beautiful custom trophy. Schedule (subject to change): 10:00am - Kickoff / team forming 11:00am - Ideation 12:00am - Lunch / more coding 4:30pm - Upload code / videos 5:00pm - Presentations / voting 6:00pm - Wrap-up Lunch will be provided, as well as snacks and drinks throughout the day We'll provide more details of the event as we get closer to the date but check out https://flutterhackathon.com for general event details.

  • Flutter Study Jam Session 3

    Google offices @ Fairfax

Flutter is Google’s mobile app SDK for crafting high-quality native interfaces on iOS and Android in record time. Flutter works with existing code, is used by developers and organizations around the world, and is free and open source. Following our 'Getting Ready to Flutter’ meetup, we are stepping up our game and we’re starting a full-fledged series of Flutter Study Jam sessions. These sessions are prepared by the Flutter team at Google and start off with the *very* basics of Flutter. So if you've never used Flutter before, come join in. If you have some basic knowledge, it might not be the best use of your time :) Keep in mind that this is a hands-on session, so not many spots are available. Make sure you can attend before you RSVP so you give other people a chance. Bring a laptop! If you want to hit the ground running, make sure you have Flutter installed on your laptop prior to starting the Study Jam. Windows/Linux/Mac are all fine. Check out : https://flutter.io/get-started/install/ This is Session 3 of 3 and each session builds on the previous Session 1: https://www.meetup.com/gdgsydney/events/254578527/ Session 2: https://www.meetup.com/gdgsydney/events/254578726/ Agenda: Zarah: Welcome!
