Dear hiking group,

our MeetUp group will join once again QueerHike (https://aufschlag.org/wandern) for a hiking tour.
Our June hike will take us to the Schneealpe.

Details:
Our hike is planned for more than 7 hours, so be in a fit condition.
The length of the hiking tour 16,8km. A break is planned at "Lurgbauerhütte", which we will reach before the first half of our tour.

We do recommend making sure to bring enough food and drink for the hike and whatever else you might need. We hope the weather will be good. But if it isn't, please take a waterproof and good hiking boots with you. And maybe hiking poles.

To get there by public transport from Vienna:
07:20 We meet at Wien Meidling Bahnhof, platform 5 or alternatively in the first carriage of the train.

Arriving by car is rather difficult because the starting point and end point are not the same. We will return from Altenberg an der Rax.

Please note: As this event is in co-operation with QueerHike, the number of attendees shown here does not reflect the whole size of the group. Usually we are in between 10 and 25 hikers.

Im Rahmen der "Tierischen Sommerabende" erwartet uns ein buntes Programm aus Musik, Akrobatik und kulinarischem Genuss – und das alles mitten unter Pandas, Arktischen Wölfen und Co. Der Zoo ist an diesem Abend bis 21:00 Uhr geöffnet und bietet ein After-Work-Erlebnis in entspannter Atmosphäre.

**Treffpunkt: **Zoo-Eingang, neben dem Zooshop

Tickets (Einzelpreis: 27 Euro) bitte vorab online oder vor Ort kaufen oder Jahreskarte verwenden. Tipp: Die Jahreskarte ist günstiger, wenn man mindestens dreimal im Jahr den Zoo besucht.

Das erwartet uns:

• Walking-Acts in fantasievollen Tierkostümen
• Trapezshow auf der Löwenallee
• DJ-Sound und klassische Musik an verschiedenen Orten
• Cocktails und Fruchtsäfte beim Regenwaldhausplatz
• Abendliche Tierbeobachtungen und Infos zu Artenschutzprojekten

Im Anschluss werden wir dann den Abend noch in unserem Stammlokal The Hive ausklingen lassen, das mit der U4 gut von dort aus erreichbar ist.

As part of "Tierische Sommerabende", we’re in for a colourful evening full of music, acrobatics, and culinary delights – all in the midst of pandas, arctic wolves and more. The zoo will be open until 21:00, offering a perfect after-work experience in a relaxed atmosphere.
Meeting point: Zoo entrance, next to the Zooshop
Tickets: €27 per person – please buy in advance online or at the entrance. Annual passes are also valid (and a good deal if you visit the zoo at least three times a year!).
