San Diego Gay Mens Meetup

Hi Guys! Another Trail to Torrey Pines State Beach and hike up to the a couple viewpoints! Depending on the tide, we may do a balloon (partial loop) or out-and-back hike.

MEETUP LOCATION:
Meet at the corner of Carmel Valley Road and Del Mar Scenic Parkway (see photo section of this meetup).

TIMING:
We will meet and greet at 5:45pm
We start promptly at 6:00pm (plan your trip, arrive on time)

HIKE DETAILS:
Hiking Distance: about 5.5 miles
Elevation gain: ~350'
Difficulty: Beginner
Parking: Park on Del Mar Scenic Parkway or on Carmel Valley Road or pay for the parking lot

WHAT TO BRING:
Water ( I take 3 liters; I sweat a lot & I prepare for the worst)
Snack (an apple, an orange, electrolyte replenisher)
Sturdy Hiking Shoes (ensure the soles have tread)
Sunscreen
Optional hiking Poles

Hey Guys! Come join me for a Sunset Power Vinyasa Yoga Flow this Wednesdays at 6:00pm in Pacific Beach! We’ll set an intention and get a great workout. The location is in Palisades Park which is phenomenal; a perfect spot to practice with the ocean in the background and various natural lights that appear at the end of the day. After practice we can get some food and drinks at one of the local restaurants…selection of Greek, Thai, or Mexican food are my favorite!!

These yoga sequences are geared to develop your quads (good for bouldering, climbing, hiking), abs (great for runners, balancing sports, circuit training, hiking), and shoulders/chests (surfers, weight lifting, climbing, hiking). For mental clarity and focus, these practices also teach us breath work for concentration, calm emotions and lower heart rate (under pressure/challenges, come back to your breath).

Let’s workout our mind, body and breath!

What you will need:

1. Loose, comfortable workout clothes

2. Yoga mat

3. Water

4. Towel

This is a donation based practice where I donate my time and you donate your positive energies. However, if would like to make a monetary donation and are in a good place to do so, these are much appreciated (recommended $7-10).

4. I understand and acknowledge that I am to receive instruction in Yoga theory and exercise only and I will not hold you to any higher standard of care than that applicable to school of Yoga theory and exercises.

5. If I am under 18 years of age, I will disclose that information to you, and in addition, I will provide you a note stating that I have parental permission to participate in the Yoga practice. This note will have my signature where my parent and /or guardian has also signed and dated.

Hey hey! GET ON THE WAITLIST THEN PAY AND MOVE TO THE GOING LIST!! Because.. Who’s up for an afternoon potluck & pool social? We have a pool available to us in University Heights. RSVP with your $17/person fee. This fee will used cover the pool rental. We can accommodate 50 and more people!!

The owner will havee a bartender and entertainment. He will also haveve some food available.

Because this event has been rented, the fee is non-refundable, no exceptions.

I will have plates, cups, napkins and utensils and dessert plus lumpia. Please bring your favorite entree, side or desert to share. No need to feed everyone, just enough to feed 6-7 members.

So that we don’t have a lot of one type of food or drink items, please comment what you will bring and I will keep a list, update it and post it.

2. Private Venue Notice:
   This event is being held at a private residence and is not affiliated with or operated by any professional or commercial entity.

3. Cost Disclosure:
   Any contributions or payments made for this event are solely to cover cleanup, snacks, ice, propane, disposable plates, cups, and utensils. This pool party gathering does not involve anyone paying for alcohol. If alcohol is furnished for the group by the organizer or any attendee, it is done at their own expense. No attendees are charged any admission fees, bar fees, corkage fees, or any other type of fees. There is no cash bar, and no other fees are being collected. Guest contributions are strictly for covering the costs mentioned in this paragraph.

4. Alcohol Policy:
   This is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) event. If you choose to consume alcohol, you are responsible for bringing your own. The host will not provide or serve any alcoholic beverages.

5. No Drinking and Driving:
   For everyone's safety, drinking and driving is strictly prohibited. Please plan ahead and arrange for a safe ride home using Uber, Lyft, a taxi, or a sober friend. If you choose to drink and drive and are involved in an accident or receive a DUI, you are solely responsible for your actions.
   The event organizer, host, and venue will not be held liable for any claims, damages, or legal consequences resulting from your decision to drive under the influence.
