Teszt & Tea - HUSTEF 2017 Special Edition

This year's HUSTEF is drawing nearer every day, and of course there will be once again a Teszt & Tea special edition, this time held after the Tutorial day.

This time it will be a joint presentation by the conference PC Chair, Lloyd Roden and one of our returning speaker, Petra Boušková who already presented at HUSTEF last year as well.

Lloyd Roden & Petra Boušková - How to become an excellent presenter
All of us, at some stage of our careers, need to present to other people. Whilst for some it comes naturally, for most people it proves to be difficult, problematic and stressful. Petra and Lloyd will share their experience of presenting to both small and large audiences and how it can become less stressful and more enjoyable. They will talk about how important it is to be aware of the power of the words. They can spark emotions such as anger, disgust, sadness, surprise and joy. You will find out which ones and in which combinations you can use them to impact your audience in big way. Lloyd will explain the pitfalls in using tools such as powerpoint and the fact that there is “life after death by Powerpoint”. Petra will show how to use your own body language to support your ideas and key points and not just to stand on a stage motionless and there will be tips on moving your presentation from “good” to “awesome” and how to be remembered for the talk that you have provided. Join Petra and Lloyd in a session that will be informative, fun and engaging and is relevant to anyone who wants to be excellent in presenting.
