This group is for people who love Japanese traditional culture, such as Kinstugi. Anyone interested in creating their own Japanese art can join our workshops. We offer you kintsugi workshops with all equipment provided here in Delft.
What is Kintsugi?
"Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese restoration technique. It involves repairing broken bowls with Urushi (Japanese Lacquer), then painting them with gold, silver and vermilion.
The concept is the acceptance of scars as history and the creation of new balance or new life. Kintsugi is a metaphor for embracing your flaws and imperfections. The philosophy of Kintsugi implies that we can become stronger and more beautiful in the process, even after setbacks in your life."
