The Original 17-19 mph Delray Beach Ride.

Time and Location: Meet at 7:15 am, pedals up 7:30 am.  Meet at Old School Square in Delray Beach on the west side of the parking garage.   Parking available free in the parking structure on NE 1st Ave. at NE 1st St, and on side streets.

Ride Description:  Warm up 15-17 mph for approximately 3-5 miles then increasing the pace to 17-19 mph for the remainder of the ride. Distance 33-40 miles depending on group size and wind speed. . Route, A1A north to Lake Worth or south to Deerfield pier depending on wind direction.

We ride a single file pace line that rotates so everyone shares riding lead and enjoys the areodynamic effect . We use hand signals that are reviewed before each ride.

I will try to have the half way point at A1A & Atlantic Ave approx 20 miles into the ride for those rider who don't want to do the 33-40 miles they can return back into town from there.

Helmets are Mandatory.  Also bring tire repair kit.   A bike computer/speedometer is needed.

Water and snack highly recommended.

Additional Club Information.  This is a community club, not a racing club.  Safety is emphasized, road rules observed, and we encourage the use of hand signals.

Ride participants are required to wear a helmet and obey all traffic laws (i.e. respect signals, stop signs, yield signs, etc.)  Use caution at intersections and respect other road users (cyclists, pedestrians, and motorists).  As a participant, you recognize that cycling is a potentially hazardous activity and you assume all risks associated therewith.
