3d printer workshop
The objective of this class is to provide members and visitors with an intermediate understanding of 3D Printing. Throughout this course we will examine how a 3D Printer functions, how to build and modify a 3D Printer and finally a basic introduction into modeling your own parts for 3D Printing. By the end of this 4 week workshop, you will have a firm grasp on how to get the most out your 3D Printer. Requirements: Please bring a laptop if you would like help installing any of the software we will be using. A desire to learn more about 3d Printing. Week 1: Introduction to 3D Printing - In the first workshop, we will cover a broad spectrum of material starting with the basics of 3D Printing including types of machines, plastics and software. * What are 3D Printers? * How do you choose the right 3D Printer for you? * I have a 3D Printer, now what? * Basic bed leveling * 3D Printing Software * It's all about the plastic!

What we're about

Denhac is a non-profit hackerspace founded in 2008. Er, wait, what’s a hackerspace? Hackerspaces are simply places for people to learn, work on tech projects, socialize and collaborate. Denhac offers a community space for classes and events, anywhere from lock picking to information security, to hardware hacking. We are open to the public any Tuesday after 8pm, and most Saturdays for classes and events.
