Nick Dagan Best: What's Up, Uranus?

***Please note that due to a scheduling conflict we will be meeting 1 hour earlier than we usually do, at 2:00 PM rather than 3:00 PM***

This meeting will feature a special guest lecture by Montreal-based astrologer Nick Dagan Best, titled "What's Up, Uranus?: Following the Yellow Brick Tropical Zodiac."

Lecture Description
What's Up, Uranus?, based on material from a recently released book, is a look at the transit of Uranus through the twelve tropical signs over the last two centuries, focusing on biographical studies of various notable people and their respective Uranus conjunction and opposition transits to the natal Sun and/or Moon.

The talk also includes a close study of key people and events during previous transits of Uranus through tropical Aries. If this story was The Wizard of Oz, then you might say Uranus is Dorothy and the tropical zodiac is a sort-of perpetual yellow brick road, replete with an overlapping series of adventures and challenges.

Speaker Bio

Nick Dagan Best is a Montreal-based astrologer, researcher, speaker, and writer. Known as "the human ephemeris," Nick’s extensive research correlating historical events with astrological phenomena draws from his database of over 30,000 event charts. He has given presentations for numerous regional astrology associations across the U.S., and at conferences such as NORWAC (2005, 2006), The Blast (2007), SOTA (2011), and UAC (2008, 2012). More information about Nick is available on his website

Lecture Fee

Length of the Meeting

The meeting will start at 3:00 PM, and the lecture itself will probably go until about 4:30, with time for questions and discussions until about 5:00 PM. After that people are free to hang out and socialize in the cafe.

Note that the Mercury Cafe also serves brunch earlier in the day, so if anyone wants to come early, around 2:00 PM, there will probably be some other astrologers there having brunch.

Library Books

Just a reminder that the Denver Astrology Group now has a small library, and you can check books out from it at each meeting.

It is only $10 a year to sign up for the library, and you can check out 1 book at each meeting, and then you will have to return it at the next meeting the following month.

See our website for a complete catalog of all of the books currently available in the library:

If you would like us to bring a book to the meeting for you to check out then just send an email to Leisa at: [masked]

We will also be bringing a box of some of the best books from the library with us to the meeting, for those of you who would like to browse through them in person.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting!

I too have another class tomorrow from 12-2. They are not too far apart, so hopefully I can still make it to most of the class.

Unfortunately I'll have to make a judgement call tomorrow. I'm attending the seminar at the metaphysical research society tomorrow 12 - 2pm. If I think I can still come and not miss too much of Nick's presentation I will.

Due to a scheduling conflict the Denver Astrology Group meeting tomorrow at the Mercury Cafe has been rescheduled to begin an hour earlier at 2:00 PM.

If you know anyone who was planning on attending the meeting, I would appreciate it if you would make sure that they know about the time change. We are hoping for a high attendance tomorrow since this is our first out of town speaker in a while, and if this goes well then we will be able to bring in more speakers in the future. If you won't be able to make it then please be sure to change your RSVP above. Sorry for any inconvenience!

The amazing Nick Dagan Best rectified his birth time TO THE SECOND -- need I say more? Can't wait to see him again after those amazing UAC 2012 lectures in N'orleans.
