For the September meeting of the Denver Astrology Group, we are going to do a workshop on the timing technique of annual profections, taking examples from the birth charts of meeting attendees. Annual profections is a simple timing technique that is measured from one birthday to the next, and shows when certain themes in one's chart and life are activated and highlighted more than usual.
Chris Brennan and Leisa Schaim will lead the discussion, taking charts from the audience and then talking about what happened during certain years of one's life. Through a dialogue with each person about what happened during the years in which different houses of their chart were activated, we hope to help the group understand better how to use this timing technique and the kinds of experiences it can show. While we cannot promise that everyone who attends the meeting will have their chart read, it should be an interesting and educational experience for all involved.
If you haven't used this technique before, here is a short 10-minute video to get you started thinking about which areas of your chart have been activated in past years of your life, and how that played out for you. If you can watch this before the meeting, it may help you to begin thinking about past examples in your own chart to share during the meeting.
Be sure to have your exact time of birth available if you'd like the chance to discuss your chart during the meeting, as that is what shows the specifics of one's full birth chart. Please also only submit your chart for discussion if you are willing to share some of your life experiences with the group, as this will be a two-way conversation to illustrate how these techniques work in real people's lives.
-- Meeting Times and Fee --
The meeting will run from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
The fee for attending the meting is $10.
Note that the Mercury Cafe also serves brunch earlier in the day, so if anyone wants to come early, around 1:00 PM, there will probably be some other astrologers there having brunch.
-- Parking --
If you can find a spot to park on the street then it is free, although there is a two hour limit on some spots. The lot immediately adjacent to the Mercury Cafe building is also free on the weekends. The parking lot right across from the Mercury Cafe on the other side of California Street charges $2 for parking on weekends.
-- Looking for Speakers --
We are looking for speakers for future meetings of the Denver Astrology Group. If you are interested in giving a talk, or you know a local astrologer who we should host for a talk, please email Chris and Leisa at: [masked] and [masked].
We look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting this Saturday!
