Pancake Breakfast Sponsored by the Secular Hub

Join us for coffee, community and discussion every Sunday morning at the Hub!

This Sunday, the Hub's Community Service Committee will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, meat, and juice will be served. We're even upping the ante with some waffles. All are welcome to come and participate in C&C as usual. But the breakfast will be offered at a nominal fee of $8 for adults and $4 for children. Donations are also welcomed.

Proceeds will support the Hub's service and altruism efforts. See the 'Altruism' page on the Hub website for more on the Hub's community service activities as well as different ways you can get involved:

Look, we know you don't have to get up and go to church on Sunday morning, but after sleeping in some, you can make your way over to the Secular Hub to hang out and talk with like minded friends. The Hub will be open every Sunday from 10-1:00, and sometimes we'll have more of an agenda than other times.

On some weekends, we may have a pancake breakfast with donations used to bolster the community or a particular project; sometimes we'll meet up and go to participate in some community service event. As a community center, the Hub is open to the ideas of our members on how to move forward. Details will be added for particular dates as projects come together. This is a recurring weekly event, subject to other secular events that require the Secular Hub space. We'll make sure to update the meetup each week with any projects or changes and notify when they are cancelled.

Note: Coffee and Community is free and open to the public. A key benefit of the Secular Hub is the physical meeting space it provides free-of-charge to local secular groups. To help pay the bills, the Hub collects membership dues and limits some activities to dues-paying members as a perk. If you are not yet a member of the Hub, please feel free to stop in for an 'open' event, enjoy the company of your fellow heathens, and see what the Hub is about. If you like what you see, help support the local secular community and gain access to further secular events/opportunities by becoming a member. You can sign up in person or online at

Slight correction for you, Jerrold, I go by my first name, Diana. LMAO is laughing my ass off. LOL is laughing out loud. I do understand your apparent aversion to mornings. I probably usually get up earlier than you though, but also I could eat pancakes or other breakfast foods at night. I work mornings and evenings so unfortunately, I can't make it to the Friday night Social Night, but I'm looking forward to Sunday morning.

Slight correction back at you: please call me Jerry. I was named after Jerry the Conqueror who lived a long, long, time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away.

Looking forward to seeing you. By the way, there's a cute parody of a song that you may like, especially if you love Kermit the Frog. lol .... You can find it on youtube. Search for Kermit the Frog Reason and Science. The song is a parody of Rainbow Connection. For some reason, Christians don't seem to like it much. lmao!! I tried to play it in an online voice chat room that is occupied by some Christians and I was "shut down." I was playing the song on mic in the room and suddenly, my transmission was stopped by the owner of the room.

Thank you for the welcome. I will be at Social Night on Friday, but I won’t make Pancake Sunday. I am more likely to eat pancakes at night . Yes, I like Kermit & I will check out the Kermit song. The fact that christians shut down the song makes it more inviting . How could you be so insensitive !
I know the meaning of IMO & IMHO, but I’m not familiar with IMAO.

The meal sounds tempting, but 1. I just moved to Aurora & my brain hasn't been unpacked yet; & 2. Why does breakfast always have to be eaten in the morning. I'm a night owl & may not break my fast until sundown.
