Join us on Thursday, June 27th to explore the impossible.
We will be investigating the nooks and crannies of the CU Denver Inworks lab, from 3D printers and PCB mills to the synthetic biology lab. We’ll also explore the nexus between computation and fabrication hands-on with an intro to parametric modeling (no previous coding or 3D modeling experience required!) and 3D printing demo.
+ Introduction to Inworks Fabrication Lab - Jenny Filipetti, Inworks
Tour of the lab, explanation of the tools available and how they can be used, explanation of how community members can get involved.
+ Fabricating Inspiration - Bishop Zareh, Karsh Hagan
A whirlwind tour of the ever-expanding possibilities of DIY and DIWO fabrication.
Inworks is an initiative of the University of Colorado Denver and Anschutz Medical Campus whose mission is to impart skills and habits of mind that allow people to collaboratively create impactful solutions to human problems. http://inworks.org
We’re just a couple blocks away from the Convention Center Light Rail Stop (and a number of bus stops) which we’d recommend if your starting destination is at all convenient! Arriving to Union Station also just requires either a short walk or the 16th street mall shuttle which stops at Larimer. Otherwise there is very limited metered street parking on Larimer, 14th, and Lawrence Streets, and paid lots around campus and downtown.
