"Rifftide: sheet music as physical space - a failed video game in C++/openFrameworks"
J. Matthew Griffis
For my Master’s thesis at Parsons School of Design, I made a new kind of music game using the C++ creative-coding toolkit openFrameworks. In this 45-minute talk, we’ll get a brief introduction to openFrameworks, then look at the game itself, the concepts behind it, what went right, and what went wrong, leading me ultimately to deem the project an instructive failure.
"Building Interactive Environments and Art with Software"
Justin Gitlin, Cacheflowe
Over the past 7 years, I've built and launched nearly 50 interactive installations and video games for clients like the Denver Art Museum and Nike. I'll talk about how these "experiential" projects come to life, and how software can extend into the physical environment.
