So are there any objections to moving up our meeting time by a couple hours to better accommodate the youngsters?

I wasn't going to come because my wife is out of town and I will have my daughter (age 5) , but maybe they can play.

That would work for me, if it's ok with Mike. My daughter's 4.5 so they'd probably get along.

I'm pretty sure I'll have my daughter that night, but I'd like to try to get into the Anthology if at all possible.

I can't make it for a class conflict but I can recommend a small book as a model and will send it to Mike. It includes terms and illustrates ea with writing excerpts, book by Sarah Cypher. The only other how-to book I recommed is John Dufresne's The Lie that Tells the Truth as it has brief, concrete advice.
