In 2012, social media has become essential for business on the web.
“90% of marketers use social media channels for business, with 93% of these rating social tools as ‘important’” (ref: http://thesocialskinny.com/99-new-social-media-stats-for-2012/ ). Yet many business owners still feel overwhelmed by it. If you zero in on key tools and strategies, though, social media is easily manageable and productive. It can even be fun!

This is an informal sharing session where we focus on your Wordpress blog and its relationship with the social media world. We will look at the challenges we all face in managing a blog + social media, Wordpress plugins to leverage social networks, and email list interaction with both your blog and social networks. This is for anyone with a Wordpress blog who also uses social media.

This is meant to be primarily a discussion based on a targeted questions and topics. Plan to contribute to the discussion: You can contribute your own tips and hard-earned wisdom or you can contribute your questions and confusions for the group to tackle.

Plan to show up with a few of the following:
- your favorite Wordpress plugins, especially those for social media
- your top time-saving tips for managing Wordpress or social media
- Favorite social media tools
- Your biggest obstacle to results or production
- Your biggest unanswered question about Wordpress
- Your biggest unanswered question about any social network

The past few months I’ve done a lot of research on social media plugins for Wordpress, and I’m excited about what I’ve found. But we also have a wealth of expertise in our group, so I can’t wait to hear what many of you have discovered. I'll be providing some appetizers for the group to facilitate schmoozing.

We hope to have you all emerge with a new clarity on your priorities and an understanding of the tools that can create the most impact on your blog’s results.

Please contact me with any questions or suggestions.

Hope to see you there!
