Movement Denver Monday Evening Climbing

  • Movement Denver

    1155 W. 5th Ave, Denver, CO (map)

    39.725121 -105.002617

  • We'll meet at the tables by the stairs. After 7:10, we'll likely be downstairs climbing, so if you don't know people, you can have them page me.
  • We'll meet at the tables by the stairs at 7pm.  There is a wide range of climbers who participate with Denver Social Climbing, so we'll have people from beginners through advanced lead climbers on any given night.  Weeknights have generally been quite busy, so if you really want to lead climb, bring your own rope to avoid waiting for a lead rope.  It needs to be at least 40m and 9.2mm.

For absolute beginners, there is a 6:30 belay class at Movement on Monday, so you can take that class and then meet up with us.  It is an hour class, so let us know in the comments if anyone is doing that and we can meet you at the tables at 7:45.  Generally some people in the group are willing to help out beginners but it can take a while to teach absolute beginners, although we're definitely willing to help people refresh their memory before the test if you're rusty.  The class is an alternative.

Cost?  Only the gym entry fee ($20/day, $10 if first time to any Movement gym).

Rental equipment?  Yes the gym rents gear.  You'll need to call to find out how much as it isn't on their website.

Hi. I'm starting to think climbing is more an addiction than hobby.
