Our next event is April 12, 2011 Premier Winemaker Event, 90+ Rated Sonoma Wines with Rick Sayre, Rodney Strong Vineyards at the Inverness Resort http://www.meetup.com/denverwine/events/16768077/

Ticket Payment Link: http://uncorked-http:... Sign up now. This event will sell a week before the event! We currently have 2 men signed up for every lady and over 40% of the tickets are sold. Please see details below.

We have posted info on the DAM Uncorked function and dates for our upcoming spring events with winemakers from Italy and Australia. (Please see below).
UncorkedDenver.com For those of you who are a part of the meetup system, I wanted to address the fact that we are focusing on "UncorkedDenver.com" in addition to the meetup. Although the meetup system has been good to us and has a fabulous reputation with some groups in the system, a lot of folks don't want to talk about or work with "meetup" as in general it lacks some of the presitge of a private group. Many attendees sign up directly through eventbrite and don't want to be on the meetup system. We are getting press and you'll see some at our next event as we'll have a private blending seminar for press and top area sommeliers prior to our event with Rick Sayre. The desire is to work with UncorkedDenver.com, not the meetup system. Anyway, just wanted you all to know why we'll start referring more and more to UncorkedDenver.com in the future and as you see us in the news.

Payment and Refunds: I also want to address "sign up" and "refunds" for our events. All events are pay in advance through eventbrite which utilizes paypal. RSVP's on the meetup system are not paid confirmations. We have made it clear on the about page of the meetup and in the confirmation emails to let us know right away if you are not able to attend. We have refunded 99% of folks who have let me know in advance they are getting sick or have to cancel due to work. We ask that you cancel 2 days prior to an event. I have several of you sign up the first week an event is announced and a few days before you have to fly out of town for work and notified us....and have easily refunded your ticket. If you email me a few hours before an event, after the event, or as the event has started or you just forget you signed up, I am sorry, we cannot provide refunds as we have to give the headcount that morning to the venue and make payment based on the headcount. Once payment is made, we don't have anything to refund.

Have a great weekend......hope to see you on April 12 our Rodney Strong Wine Party!

Cheers,
Stacey
