Giving Back Doxie Meet-Up!

  • Nov 17, 2013 · 1:30 PM
  • Reid Park Pavilion 28

We would like to give back to the community for Thanksgiving. I plan on taking just a little time to share about a non-profit organization called-"Pets of the Homeless." This is a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides pet food and veterinary care to the homeless in local communities across the United States and Canada. Their efforts have effects far beyond the care of the pets themselves. If you would like to donate a bag of dog food, can food, collars, leashes and a new pair of warm socks, please bring them with you at the meet-up.Hot Chocolate/Coffee will be served!

The meet-up will be near at Reid Park Pavilion #28. If you're heading south on Country Club from Broadway you'll turn left on Camino Campestre and at the second stop sign you turn right and then park to the far right. The area is along where the baseball practice fields are. We'll have a fenced in area for the dogs. Time will be from 1:30pm-3:30pm. Please feel free to bring lawn chairs. If you have any questions please feel free to email us, and we look forward to new adventures with our doxies!

It would be great if members can bring a small donation to keep this group going and to put towards fun events and raffles for our meet-up group! Don't forget to RSVP Thanks!

Nancy, there seems to be confusion as to the time of the meet-up. The notice sent out said 1:30 to 3:30 but the write up above says 12 to 2pm.

Not as many as often come but fun for all that did make it! I brought one of my rescues, Mickey and he had the best time! He had several willing to run and play with him. Good to see all and looking forward to our December Meet-Up already!

Great idea! Also, the event in Pav. 28 was a blast. About 50 dashshunds seemed like and dressed in costumes! The food was great and unexpected:) Thanks for that.

Don't forget to check all food, including your own, for any recall information. Thank you.
