What are a few of your favorite films and why?

Das Boot, is #1. Whenever I think of my favorite film, it is this. No film has ever gripped me as deeply. The directing is masterful. Simply an amazing and deeply wrenching film with never a wasted moment. A few years ago I saw Harold Lloyd's "Speedy" at the DFT with the Alloy Orchestra performing. Now THERE was a comedy. Love the Cohen Bros and Werner Hertzog and Hitch. I can never turn away from The Magnificent Seven. Fell in love with Yule Brynner when I was perhaps 10. He still makes me weak in the knees.

A movie quote to share?

Does your dog bite?

Describe a loved/hated movie cliché.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? (I find that channeling John Belushi comes in handy at times)

I'm a lefty film addict from Rochester who loves social dancing (swing, Latin, smooth). I have practiced family law for many years. Would love to meet up with fellow movie fiends for an apres film glass of wine and conversation.
